Hello, everyone! My name is Mitch Wagner, and I'm Palisade Systems' new Director of Internet Marketing. I joined Palisade yesterday. My job is to help improve Palisade's use of the Internet for communicating with customers, potential customers, and partners.
What that means to you is this: We're going to beef up our use of the Internet, including this blog and Web site, Twitter and LinkedIn, to serve you better.
This morning, I started a Palisade LinkedIn Group for customers, partners and employees. Join it! What you'll get from joining: A spiffy Palisade logo to go with your profile, and connections with other members of the community. A LinkedIn group is self-selecting for like-minded individuals, everybody who joins our group is going to be interested in securing proprietary data on a corporate network. Because that's what we do here at Palisade.
I've also been tweeting from our @PalisadeDLP account. Follow us! Mostly I'm focused on sending out links to news articles that I think might be of interest to the Palisade community, about privacy regulations, data breaches, and related issues.
I'll be writing blog posts here, bringing you news about Palisade, its customers, and news of interest to the Palisade community.
And I'm working on redesigning our Web site, starting with rewriting the text and tightening up the organization a bit.
About me: I come to Palisade and Internet marketing from a background in technology journalism, most recently at InformationWeek, where I was executive editor, and -- among other things -- led InformationWeek's social media strategy. In my copious free time, I blog about digital tools at the Computerworld Tool Talk blog, about science fiction and related subjects at Tor.com, and tie it all together at Mitch Wagner's Blog.
